Here's a quick guide to AKC/BCSA speak:

AKC American Kennel Club. The main registry in the USA for purebred dogs.

BCSA Border Collie Society of America. The breed parent club in the USA

VX Versatility Excellent. A title earned through the BCSA. Requirements are: to have completed a Versatility title, a competetive level herding title, and two intermediate level titles from two different activities.

CHX Champion Excellent. Conferred by the BCSA for finishing a breed championship and a competetive level herding title.

CH Champion. An AKC title signifying the completion of a breed championship.

CDX Companion Dog Excellent. Intermediate level obedience title.

HI Herding Intermediate. Intermediate level herding title.

MACH Master Agility Champion. AKC Agility

U-AG1 UKC (United Kennel Club- another breed registry)-Agility Dog level 1

AHBA - HTD1 American Herding Breed Association (another registry) Herding Trial Dog level 1

CGC Canine Good Citizen. A non competitive behavioural title from the AKC.
