These photos are used at commercial shoots by the crew to remember placement of the talent (actors) and clothing etc. The quality is not the best but they are really just rough sketches of information.

Jeffrey has done two TV commercials and we are lucky enough to have those on tape. The first one was for ATT Cable. It took 10 hours of filming for a 30 second commercial, not because the dog didn't pull his weight (he was terrific) but you have no idea how many changes of lighting and scenery it takes to get something coherent. We filmed in a large sound studio and after the first few takes, all I had to do was open his crate door and he'd scout out where the lights were the brightest and head for that area. Pretty funny.

The second ad was for a product called GiardiaVax. It required him to be on a white background with mud and water all over (to insinuate that he'd been playing in the dirt). The biggest problem was that his coat sheds dirt REALLY well. They
had to keep applying the dirt. They didn't want me to think that the dirt was dirty so I was shown a new bag of potting soil that was to be used. I didn't want to tell them that he regularly swims in the swampy canal next to our home!

In the spring of 2001, Jeffy did a still shot for SoftSpots shoes. This was actually a series of ads with different dogs for different styles of shoes. He was the "sporty" dog. The model wasn't too happy with his drooling on her clothes.

There were several toys used that varied the amount of drool he loosed. Anyway this is the one that the manufacturer finally used in the campaign.

All great actors need head shots for their portfolio....
